Text tags

Text tags are the best intelligent tag option to add the tags you want to any Microsoft Word documents. You can also add text tags to PDF document, but you must edit the content of that PDF for text tags to work properly.

If you add text tags to a PDF using the Typewriter tool, or similar tool in a PDF viewer, the tags won't work.

Adding text tags to your Word documents

To add text tags:

  1. Decide what types of tags and information you want to collect, and where you want the tags to appear on your document.
  2. Type the text tag in your document where you want the tag to appear. Use the text tag table for reference, or refer to the before example in the Example section.
  3. Repeat this process for as many tags as you need. It doesn't matter what font size or color you enter the tag in.
  4. Save the document after you add all the necessary tags.
  5. Send a trial request through the Sertifi Portal to ensure your tags appear properly. If your tags aren't appearing the way you want them to, edit the place where you typed the tag format in your original document.
  6. Send your document for signature.
